Training & Education
One of the most important areas of arson prevention is the training and education of those involved in fighting this devastating crime.
The Michigan Arson Prevention Committee sponsors numerous seminars and training opportunities for fire investigators, insurance industry personnel, prosecutors, business leaders, social workers and police and fire officials.
These training sessions draw hunders of people annually, helping to increase their skills in arson knowledge, detection and prevention and cause and origin of fires, trends and motives of arsonists, prosecution and juvenile firesetting.
